Native Mississippian Dent May wields a wicked ukelele, and has a new album, Do Things, coming out next week. Until then, though, I’ll be playing his 2009 debut album, The Good Feeling Music of Dent May and his Magnificent Ukelele, on repeat. The album is a perfect mix of whimsy, throw-back, and uke. Which is to say it’s perfect music for a Friday morning.

First Wooden Toys from Kidrobot: Misko Mini Series
Kidrobot are finally getting into wood toys with these Misko owls designed by Nathan Jurevicius. The figures are inspired by Lithuanian folklore. The eight colorways will be blindboxed and cost $9.99 each. They go on sale May 24. I’ve had a lifelong fear of owls (except for baby ones), but I’ll probably pick up the teal one. Hopefully it wont claw out my eyeballs.
